Developer and contact

PocketSentry: Anti-theft Alarm is developed by RGM Fusion LLC. For privacy questions, support, or data deletion requests, email support@pocketsentry.net.

Overview

PocketSentry is an Android anti-theft alarm app. It helps users notice motion, unplugging, and suspicious tampering involving their device. PocketSentry is designed to work mainly on your device and does not require an account for core app use.

Information the app may access or store

PocketSentry may access or store the following information depending on which features you enable:

  • Local app PIN: A PIN you create to access or disarm the app. This is stored on your device and is not an online account password.
  • Alarm and profile settings: Settings such as alarm tones, sensitivity, volume, arming options, Charge Guard options, Paranoid Mode, and custom profile preferences.
  • Camera access and evidence photos: If you enable evidence photo features, the app may briefly use the camera and may store evidence photos on your device during alarm events or after failed device PIN, pattern, or password attempts.
  • Microphone access and custom voice clips: If you record custom voice warnings, the app may use the microphone and store those recordings on your device for alarm playback.
  • Notifications and foreground services: The app may use notifications and foreground services so alarm, voice warning, Charge Guard, evidence capture, and protection features can work while the app is not directly in the foreground.
  • Device admin access: Lock-screen evidence uses Android device admin access to detect failed device credential attempts. You can disable device admin access through the app guidance or Android settings.
  • Billing status: Purchases and subscriptions are handled through Google Play Billing. PocketSentry may receive purchase or subscription status needed to unlock paid features, but it does not receive your full payment card details.
  • Support information: If you email support, we may receive your email address and any information you choose to include, such as device model, Android version, screenshots, or a description of the issue.

How information is used

The app uses information to provide, secure, and support PocketSentry features. Examples include arming and disarming the alarm, playing sirens or voice warnings, detecting unplugging or movement, showing alarm screens, saving your settings, capturing optional evidence photos, handling purchases, and responding to support requests.

How information is shared

PocketSentry does not sell personal information. PocketSentry does not upload evidence photos, custom voice clips, or your local app PIN to a PocketSentry server.

Information may be handled by third parties in these limited situations:

  • Google Play: Google Play handles app distribution, purchases, subscriptions, licensing, crash reporting, install information, and Play Console review or compliance processes according to Google’s own policies.
  • Cloud backups you control: If you choose to save evidence photos to your device gallery, your device settings or cloud backup services such as Google Photos may back them up to your own account.
  • Support email: If you contact support, your email provider and our email provider process that email so we can reply.
  • Legal or safety reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or security.

Advertising ID and ads

PocketSentry does not use the Google Advertising ID for advertising or tracking, and the app does not display third-party ads.

Data retention

PocketSentry retains app data according to where that data is stored:

  • Data stored inside the app: Your local app PIN, settings, profiles, app-stored evidence photos, and custom voice clips remain on your device until you delete them, reset them, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the app.
  • Gallery copies: If you enable saving evidence photos to your gallery, those copies remain in your device gallery until you delete them. If your gallery is backed up to a cloud service, retention is controlled by that service and your account settings.
  • Google Play purchase records: Purchase and subscription records are retained by Google according to Google Play and Google account policies. PocketSentry does not control Google’s payment record retention.
  • Support emails: If you contact support, we may retain the support message and related conversation for up to 24 months so we can respond, troubleshoot, document the request, and improve support, unless a longer period is required for legal, security, or dispute reasons.

Data deletion

PocketSentry does not require an account, so there is no PocketSentry account to delete. You can delete app-related data in the following ways:

  • Delete local app data: Use Android settings to clear PocketSentry app storage/data or uninstall PocketSentry. This removes local app settings, the local app PIN, and app-stored local data from that device.
  • Delete evidence photos: Delete evidence photos from inside the app if that option is available, or delete gallery copies from your device gallery. If copies were backed up to a cloud service, delete them from that service as well.
  • Delete custom voice clips: Remove custom voice clips in the app if that option is available, or clear app data/uninstall the app to remove locally stored clips from the device.
  • Disable lock-screen evidence: You can disable device admin access through PocketSentry’s guidance or Android device admin settings.
  • Cancel subscriptions: Subscriptions are managed through Google Play. Canceling a subscription stops future billing but does not automatically delete local data on your device.
  • Request support email deletion: To request deletion of support emails or other information you sent to us, email support@pocketsentry.net. We will delete eligible support records unless we need to retain them for legal, security, fraud-prevention, billing, or dispute reasons.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information we receive. No app, device, email system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children

PocketSentry is not directed to children. The app is intended for users who are old enough to manage a mobile device and make decisions about device security permissions.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as PocketSentry changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
